CAUTION: Always read updated safety regulations for repair work on airbags

Removing
CAUTION: Observe safety precautions when working on airbags.

Use size T30 Torx wrench to remove airbag unit.

Disconnect connector --.
-
Set airbag unit down with impact cushion facing upward.

Installing
-
Make sure connector -- is heard to engage.

Screw (7 Nm) on airbag unit.
CAUTION: Make sure no one is in vehicle when connecting battery.

Switch ignition on and connect battery Ground (GND) strap.
NOTE:

After connecting the battery, check vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows)

If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 signals a malfunction after assembling, then DTC memory must be erased and
checked again using vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 A scan tool.
