Right flange shaft sealing ring, replacing, 09G, 6 Speed A/T

Removing right flange shaft sealing ring 

Note:

Be familiar with the rules for cleanliness when working on the automatic transmission.

General repair instructions.

-

Remove right drive shaft:

-

Plug opening in transmission for drive shaft with a clean cloth -A-.

-

Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 under transmission.

Using a commercially available steel drill bit -B- (size 2 to 4), drill hole in outer metal ring of shaft sealing ring. 

Note:  Drill through the metal ring only, otherwise the transmission could be damaged.
