Pull both guide pins out of brake caliper and bushings.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

Remove brake pedal loading device (V.A.G 1869/2 ).

Install brake pads => [ Front Brake Pads ] See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Front Brake Pads.
Only push back brake piston when inserting new brake pads. => [ Front Brake Caliper, Pressing Back Piston ] See: Procedures/Front Brake
Caliper, Pressing Back Piston.

Slide both guide pins through bushings into brake caliper.

Tighten brake caliper housing to brake carrier using both guide pins. Note required tightening specification:

Close bleeder valve.

Connect brake line to brake caliper. Note tightening specification:
