AFFECTED VEHICLES
CONDITION
The tire pressure sensor is damaged, contaminated or is not an original Audi sensor.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
Tire pressure sensors have been submitted to warranty in non-warrantable circumstances.Claims for replacing tire pressure sensors damaged by outside
influences are not reimbursable under warranty. Aftermarket sensors are not reimbursable under warranty.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
SERVICE
When replacing a tire pressure sensor, prior to submitting a warranty claim ensure there is no damage due to outside influence and that the sensor is an
original Audi part. Claims submitted for aftermarket sensors or for sensors damaged by outside influence will not be reimbursed.
The list below provides some examples of concerns not covered by warranty.
^ Broken valve stems due to seized aftermarket valve stem caps, and valve stems broken due to workshop error by applying lateral force when using tire
inflators and pressure gauges.
