Intercooler: Testing and Inspection
Charge Air System, Checking for Leaks
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Testing unit for turbo charger (V.A.G 1687)
‹› Adapter (V.A.G 1687/5)

Remove insulation pan
-
Release clasp - A - and disconnect hose - B - from charge air pipe.
-
Connect adapter (V.A.G 1687/5) to charge air hose - A - and rotate it around approx. 90° - B -.
Prepare testing unit for turbo charger (V.A.G 1687 ) as follows:

Remove pressure regulator valve - 2 - completely and close valves - 3 - and - 4 -.
