Removing

Switch off ignition.

Clamp off ground wire at battery with ignition switched off.

Remove front center console. Refer to => [ Front Center Console ] See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and
Repair/Center Console.
CAUTION!
‹› Before handling belt tensioner units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity
". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Open securing clip at connector - 1 -.

Remove connector - 1 -.
-
Remove nuts - 3 - (quantity: 3) from threaded pins.

Remove Airbag Control Module (J234) - 2 - from threaded pins.
