Braking Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Brake light switch, removing and installing
Removing
Note:

The brake light switch is installed on brake master cylinder.
^
The brake light switch is not adjusted.

Disconnect electrical connector - 1 -.

Remove brake light switch retaining bolt - 2 - from brake master cylinder.

Remove brake light switch down from brake master cylinder and remove switch upward from retaining tab.
Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Ensure top of switch is seated correctly in retaining tab when doing so.
Note:

The brake light switch is not adjusted.
