Loosen cylinder head cover bolts - 14 to 1 - in sequence.

Remove bolts and remove cylinder head cover.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following: 

‹› Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Cylinder Head Cover and Cylinder Head Assembly Overview ] See: Cylinder Head Cover and Cylinder

Head Assembly Overview, => [ Cylinder Head Cover, Tightening Specifications

and Sequence ] See: Cylinder Head Cover and Cylinder Head Assembly Overview

‹› Replace cylinder head seal if it is damaged.

‹› Replace cylinder head cover bolts when replacing the damaged seal. 

‹› The hose supports, air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

‹› Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.

Tighten cylinder head cover bolts => [ Cylinder Head Cover, Tightening Specifications

Install crankcase ventilation line. Refer to => [ Wastegate Bypass Regulator and Recirculating Valve Overview ] See: Powertrain
Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Turbocharger/Wastegate Actuator/Service and Repair/Wastegate Bypass Regulator and
Recirculating Valve Overview.

Tighten upper toothed belt guard. Refer to => [ Toothed Belt Drive Assembly Overview ] See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and
Repair/Toothed Belt Drive Assembly Overview.

Install ignition coils. See: Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Ignition Coil
