Fuel Rail: Description and Operation
V-8 Intake Manifold And Fuel Rail Assembly
The fuel rails (or fuel manifolds) supply fuel to the all the injectors at equal pressure. Each rail has a fuel supply and fuel return connection to provide
fuel circulation through the rails to keep them cool. This reduces the tendency for fuel percolation (boiling) within the rails. The fuel rails are mounted
on either side of the intake manifold where the manifold joins to the cylinder heads and hold the injectors in place.
