Checking crankcase for water leaks (N47,
N47S)
Special tools required:
•
11 8 821
•
11 8 822
•
11 8 823
•
11 8 824
•
11 8 825
•

Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove engine.
•
Mount engine on assembly stand
•
Remove all pistons.
•
Remove cylinder head.
•
Remove crankshaft.
•
Remove coolant pump.
•
Remove oil filter housing.
Important!
Pressure test crankcase to max. 3 bar.
Heat crankcase to 60
°
C.
Check for bubbles in a water bath.
Mount all special tools 11 8 825 on crankcase.
