1 Series E81 120i (N46T) 3-door
Important!
Do not tilt bearing bracket (1).
The rockers arms are divided into individual tolerance
classes.
Used rocker arms may only be reused in the same position.
Carefully lift out bearing bracket (1).
Do not remove rocker arms on inlet side.
Deposit bearing bracket with inlet camshaft upwards in special
tool 11 9 320 .
Warning!
Risk of injury and damage possible.
While torsion springs (1) are still installed, knurled screw on
special tool 11 9 301 must not be released.
Only after all the torsion springs (1) have been removed can the
inlet camshaft be safely removed.
Note:
Removal of torsion spring is described on 4th cylinder.
The same procedure is applicable to cylinders 1 to 3.
Place special tool 11 9 390 on bearing bracket.
Note:
Do not tighten down nut (1), install without play only.
Secure special tool 11 9 390 with nut (1).
