1 Series 128i (N52K) Coupe
Open weld joints in area (1).
Open adhesive bonds in area (2).
Remove B-pillar tube reinforcement.
Remove cavity acoustic baffle (3).
Installation:
Adhesive is omitted in area (2). Prepare body in area (2) for
plug/spot welding. New part is welded from inside.
Stick on new cavity acoustic baffle (3) with window adhesive.
Preparation of new part:
Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with body and cut.
Mark severance cut (2) in accordance with measurement and cut.
Measurement a = approx. 50 mm.
Important!
Cut outer metal sheet only.
Installation:
Metal section (3) is needed again for sealing B-pillar.
Weld in reinforcement plate at severance cut.
Preparation of new part:
Open weld joints in areas (1).
Remove metal section (2).
Installation:
Adjust new part to fit with straightening attachment or universal
mount.
