1 Series E87 120i (N46T) 5-door
Rotate eccentric shaft at hexagon as shown in illustration.
Pretension torsion spring (2) with a cable strap (1) and carefully
fit on roller (3).
Rotate eccentric shaft (1) at hexagon as shown in illustration.
Pull oil line (1) for lubricating exhaust camshaft towards front.
Insert banjo bolt and tighten down.
Tightening torque: 11 12 12AZ
.
Pull up timing chain and install chain guide (1).
Note:
Chain guides (1 and 2) are locked in place with 4 lugs.
Carefully press chain guide (2) apart and install chain guide (1).
