Removing and installing/replacing alternator
(N47)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read fault memory of DDE control unit.
•
Switch off ignition
•
Disconnect battery
•
Remove acoustic cover
•
Remove alternator drive belt
Unlock plug (1) and pull out in direction of arrow.
Release nut (2) and disconnect battery positive leads (3).
Installation:
Tightening torque, 12 52 2AZ
.
Release bolts (1) and remove alternator (2) in upward direction.
Note:
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
