Start engine and run at idle for 5 minutes.
8.
Close cap on expansion tank, press accelerator pedal
several times to approx. 3000 rpm
9.
Run engine for a further 5 minutes at idle speed
10. Open expansion tank cap
11. Top up coolant up to maximum level when cold (= 4400 ml)
12. Overfill expansion tank with remaining coolant (= 300 ml)
13. Close expansion tank cap
Additional instructions for cars with optional extra independent
heating:
•
Switch off engine
•
Run independent heating for 2 minutes
•
Start engine and run at idle for approx. 1 minute
•
Press accelerator pedal twice up to approx. 2500 rpm
•
Open cap on expansion tank
•
Top up coolant up to max. cold fill level.
•
Top up expansion tank with an additional 100 ml
•
Close cap on expansion tank
