Replacing timing chain (M43)
Remove spark plugs,
refer to 12 12 011.
Remove timing case cover at top,
refer to 11 14 100.
Remove vibration damper and loosen hub for vibration
damper,
refer to 11 23 010 / 11 23 031.
Removal
Removal and installation are described separately.
Rotate engine at slackened central bolt in direction of rotation until
the first cylinder is at firing TDC.
Remove dust cover from locating bore.
