Checking ignition coil (primary coil) (M42,
M50, S50)
M42:
Remove cover.
M50:
Release caps of ignition coil cover.
Unfasten screws.
Remove cover from oil filler neck.
Raise ignition coil cover and pull out towards front.
Note:
If it is not possible to remove the ignition coil cover, remove
the injector valve cover,
refer to next work step.
Release caps of injection valve cover.
Unfasten screws.
Take cover off the fuel injector rail.
Remove ignition coil cover pulling it to one side.
