3 Series E36 318i (M42) SAL
Insert plastic bush (1) and thrust shim (2) in pipe.
Drive new radial shaft seal (3) - open side facing special
tool 32 1 140 /220 - firmly home in pipe.
Grease bearings,
refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids
and drive firmly home in steering spindle housing with special
tool 32 1 140 /120.
Drive new radial shaft seal - open side facing special
tool 32 1 140 /230 - firmly home in steering spindle housing.
Replace O-ring (1) and piston ring (2).
