Replacing wheel guide joint in control arm
Special tools required:

Stabilizer connection on control arm:
Release nut (1).
Installation:
Replace self-locking nut (1). Use washer (2).
Tightening torque, 31 35 9AZ.
Unfasten nut (1) until in encounters spring strut. Position special
tool 31 1 430 with slanted surface (2) facing downwards and
remove wheel guide joint from stub axle with hammer blows (min.
2000 gr. hammer).
Installation:
Derust stub axle in area of contact face of rubber sleeve.
Bore and taper spigot free of grease. Replace self-locking nut.
Force wheel guide joint upwards using a transmission lifter
and base 11 7 360 ; this simplifies the tightening down of the
nut.
Tightening torque, 31 12 6AZ.
Mark out installation position of wheel guide joint on control arm
(colored mark).
Unscrew and remove nut.
