Removing and installing engine (M42)
Note instructions on disconnecting and connecting the
battery,
refer to General Information MG12
Disconnect battery negative pole.
Move engine hood into assembly position; this work is described
for replacing windshield washer arms,
refer to 61 61 100
Unscrew and remove splash guard.
Removing transmission,
refer to 23 00 022 / 24 00 25
Drain coolant from engine block.
Installation:
Replace seal.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 11 5AZ
Removing fan cowl and radiator,
refer to 17 11 000
Removing intake filter housing,
refer to 13 71 000
