3 Series E36 318tds (M41) COMP
Define and cut down joints in reinforcement on C pillar.
Do not cut through double panel.
Dimension (A) = 45 mm from the specified joint in the side panel
at the back on side window.
Dimension (B) = 60 mm from the specified joint in the side panel
at the back on water gutter.
Caution!
Gap from seatbelt anchor to joint, min. 80 mm (strength-
related reasons).
Drill out welding spots for connection of side frame.
Remove reinforcement on C pillar.
Determine and mark cutting line at side rib / B-pillar.
Distance (A) = 85 mm.
Determine and mark cutting line at top side rib.
Distance (A) = 10 mm
Caution!
Prior to cutting, support roof!
Cut through marked cutting line.
