Checking timing of camshaft (M41)
Removing cylinder head cover,
refer to 11 12 000
Remove manifold for intake air,
refer to 11 61 050
Rotate engine enginewise until valves on cylinder 4 are in TDC
position.
(1st Cylinder: working stroke)
Hold crankshaft in TDC position with Special Tool 11 2 300
Caution!
Do not turn the engine back.
Remove Special Tool 11 2 300 before starting engine.
Check camshaft settings with Special Tool 11 3 320.
Note:
Special tool 11 3 320 must lie flush on cylinder head.
If necessary, adjust the timing of the camshaft,
refer to 11 31 505
