Unscrew bolts.

Remove cover.

Take wiring-harness grommet out of cover.

Remove relays for glow pins (2).

Push locking hook back and pull control unit out. 

Disconnect connector.

Check 80 amp fuse.

Replace fuse if faulty. Unscrew screws.

Installation note:

For tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 12 21 2AZ

Note:

If melt insert has burnt through, always check to find cause of
fault.

If applicable, check glow plugs, refer to 12 23 000
