Replacing camshaft (M41)
(cylinder head removed)
Preliminary work is described in section on dismantling and
assembling the cylinder head,
refer to 11 12 504
Note:
Do not insert locating board (special tool 11 3 132) at this
point.
Secure cylinder head to assembly fixture (special tool 11 1 065)
mit using screws supplied.
Caution!
If assembly/disassembly is performed incorrectly, there is a
risk of premature damage or failure of the camshaft.
In addition, the valves can be bent by contact with the base of
the piston when the cylinder head is fitted to the engine block.
Always conform with procedures and sequence.
