Layout of flange connection
Note:
Sealing taper is produced by upset pipe.
Installation:
Lightly coat flange connection with CRC copper paste, refer to
BMW Parts Service.
Turn flange until maximum possible ground clearance is
provided.
Align the flanges parallel to each other.
Align the exhaust system and insert the screws.
Caution!
Do not apply preload to compression springs on block.
Apply preload of measurement A to the compression springs.
Dimension A, tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 18 00 4AZ
