3 Series E36 318ti (M44) COMP
Mark out holes for plug welding connection on inner section of
wheel arch.
Take off wheel housing inner section.
Drill holes for plug welding.
Clean connecting faces on vehicle and on spare part.
Coat all mating surfaces with zinc dust paint.
Install, secure and weld up spare inner section of wheel arch on
straightening rig.
Grind welding spots until smooth.
Seal connection points.
Assembly procedure continues after operation on "replacing left or
right outer section of rear wheel arch (side panel removed)",
refer to 41 14 500
