Camshaft peg gauge 6

Situation: 

The camshaft peg gauge 11 9 110 is required and has been introduced for the repair
"vibrations at idling speed". 

Please refer to Enclosure 1.

After the engine has been run in (approx. 5,000 km / 3,000 miles), if the customer
complains of "vibrations at idling speed", the valve timing of the intake camshaft can be
retarded by 6

°

. 

Please refer to Service Information bulletin 11 04 98 (314).

Procedure:

The camshaft peg gauge 11 9 110 will only be delivered to order as a store tool. 

Please refer to Enclosure 1.
