3 Series E36 323i (M52) CONVER
Unfasten screw (1) from tensioning tape (2) "bottom" with special
tool 54 3 160.
Installation:
Fit washer (3). Tighten down tensioning tape (2), cut off flush
with convertible top frame and seal with soldering iron to
prevent it from fraying (4).
Unfasten screws (1) and remove gasket together with rail.
Installation:
Fit angle bracket (2) and spacer disc (3).
Unfasten rivet connection (1) from tensioning tape (2) "top".
Installation:
Routing of tensioning tape (2), refer to next operation.
Rivet down tensioning tape (2), cut off and seal with soldering iron
to prevent it from fraying (3).
Installation:
Felt (1) must be removed.
Insert tensioning tape (2) "top" through slot (3) to secure (refer
to previous operation).
