Removing and installing / replacing both
convertible top locks
Open side windows.
Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.
Remove tab washers and disconnect Bowden cables.
Press together locking device and lift Bowden cables out from
underneath.
Unfasten screws (3) and remove convertible top lid locks.
With right convertible top lid lock, additional:
Remove luggage compartment trim in center and on left side,
refer to 51 47 140
and
51 47 151
Expose the lead of microswitch S6 (trunk lid locking mechanism)
in the convertible-top compartment.
Lift out Omega clips.
