Caution!

Version with net wind deflector:

While removing front cover (1), press down net wind deflector
(2) on left/right (risk of damage).

Raise front cover with a 2nd person, lift our of sliding blocks and
pull forwards/upwards until release lever (1) is above assembly
opening (2) in U-frame.

Fold front cover backwards.

Note:

The scope for work for "releasing front cover" ends here.

Only for replacement of release lever or cover:

Version without net wind deflector:

Unfasten screws and remove release lever (1).

Installation:

Insert screws with Loctite 242 (sourcing reference: BMW
Parts Service).

Tightening Torque,

refer to Technical Data 54 11 2AZ.

If applicable, loosen release lever and adjust.

Check function.
