Checking/replacing 4/2-way valve for VANOS
(M50)
(Solenoid valve)
(Refer to Operation No. 11 36 000)
Switch off ignition.
VANOS control unit connector is located behind oil filter and tied
back on engine wiring harness.
Remove air guide for alternator.
Disconnect plug.
Remove VANOS solenoid valve.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 36 1AZ.
Check seal, replace if necessary.
