Removing and installing or replacing control
unit of Digital Motor Electronics (DME) (M50,
M52, S50US)
Note instructions for removal and installation of electronic
control units,
refer to General Data HG-12
Read fault memory. Switch off ignition.
Installation location of control unit:
In direction of travel on front right bulkhead.
Unscrew bolts.
Fold cover with wiring harness to one side.
Lift locking clamp of plug-in connection in upwards direction.
Disconnect connector.
Pull control unit out of clips. (There is no need to unfasten the
retaining screws on the securing clips).
