Replacing crankshaft (S50)
(engine removed)
Fitting timing case cover to underside,
refer to 11 14 110
Removing end cover from back: this operation is described in
section on replacing radial seal in crankshaft,
refer to 11 14 151
Removing all pistons,
refer to 11 25 530
If the permitted end float is exceeded, check crankshaft, pilot
bearing shells and engine block and replace where necessary.
End float,
refer to Technical Data
Replacing main bearing shells on crankshaft,
refer to 11 21 531
Unfasten screw, remove sprocket wheel.
