Caution!

Begin setting the CO values at an engine oil temperature of
approx. 40

°

 C. As soon as the CO values change implausibly

during the setting procedure, save the set values, switch off
the engine and allow it to cool down. To avoid a temperature-
dependent change in the measured values, make sure the
time needed for setting does not exceed approx. 15 minutes.

Connect exhaust emission sensors 13 0 110 to extraction
fittings.

Measure and compare CO values at the extraction points,

refer to Technical Data 13 00.

Caution!

Exhaust synchronization via the synchronization screws is not
possible!

Carry out CO adjustment (exhaust synchronization) with the
DIS Tester.

Using DIS Tester, store set values in DME control unit.

2.

Switch off engine.

To conclude, take car for a test drive (min. 20 km). While doing
this, drive at changing engine speeds including idling and part
load.

Then: Check adaptation values and CO values. Interrogate fault
memory of DME control unit. Check stored fault messages. Rectify
faults and clear fault memory.

Caution!

The engine must not retain any heat during the test as
otherwise a check would be prevented due to implausible
values. Allow engine to cool down.
