3 Series E36 M3 (S50) SAL
Support front axle carrier.
Unfasten left and right transverse links from engine carrier.
Unfasten screw connection on front axle carrier and lower the
front axle carrier.
These operations are described in section on replacing front axle
carrier,
refer to 31 11 001
Note:
The steering gear must not be disconnected from the front
axle carrier.
Unscrew oil pan screw connection on transmission end.
Unfasten oil pan screws connecting it to end cover.
Unscrew oil pan screw connection on engine end.
