Replacing left or right tie rod

Caution!

After assembly, align front axle,

refer to 32 00 610.

Remove front wheel,

refer to 36 10 300.

Unscrew nut and pull off tie rod using special tool 32 2 070.

Installation:

Remove grease from pin and bore. 

Replace self-locking nut.

Tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data 32 21 3AZ.

Caution!

Unbend lockplate with pliers (never with hammer) to avoid
damaging rack and bearing.
