3 Series E46 316i (M43TU) SAL
Remove rubber sealing strip.
Installation:
Replace the rubber-profile seal.
Cut seal at joints, working from inside towards outside.
Installation:
Replace seal.
Note:
A seal for the top gear case cover is available as a spare part.
Installation:
Clean groove for rubber profile seal and sealing surfaces of
remains of seal.
Apply Drei Bond 1209 to both the upper and lower sealing
surfaces of the cylinder head, refer to BMW Parts Service.
Installation:
Insert special tool 11 4 110 in upper thread.
Fit new seal.
Coat top and bottom of seal with Drei Bond 1209.
