Removing and installing complete exhaust
system M43TU
Release hexagon nuts (1).
Installation:
Replace seal.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat thread with copper paste -CRC-, refer to BMW Parts Service.
Release screw (1), slacken screw (2) and tilt exhaust bracket
downwards.
Installation:
After complete installation of exhaust system, align exhaust
bracket so that it is free of tension; slacken screws (3) for this
purpose.
Support exhaust system with lifting equipment.
Release hexagon screws (1/2) and remove reinforcement plate
(3), front reinforcement plate is connected by rubber mount to
exhaust system.
Front rubber mount on rear muffler, release hexagon nuts (1).
