3 Series E46 316i (M43TU) SAL
Installation:
Coat sealing lips of new radial seal with automatic
transmission fluid.
Drive in radial seal with special tool 24 1 090 until flush.
Caution!
If the output shaft and planetary gear set have accidentally
also been pulled out, proceed as follows:
Install planetary gear set (1) and turn it back and forth in jerks until
teeth are engaged.
Slide in planetary gear set as far as it will go.
Coat spacer (1) with petroleum jelly.
Push on spacer (1).
Installation:
Observe installation position.
RA Removing and installing or replacing transmission extension housing (A4S 200R)
