Replacing left or right control arm
Warning!
If a control arm with openings (B), see graphic below, is
deformed and replaced, the front axle carrier must also be
replaced!
The bore for the ball joint in the front axle carrier is
deformed/oval.
Note:
Checking wheel control joints:
Refer to Measuring play of wheel control joints.
Build date from 07/1999:
Important!
Control arms without openings are no longer available as new
parts! If one control arm is damaged, both control arms must
be replaced with control arms with openings! Fitting one
control arm of each type is not permitted!
