Information about mobile phones approved for use in vehicles of the BMW Group is available from the
BMW Parts Department.
Approved mobile phones can be ordered from the BMW Parts Department or may be purchased on the open
market.

The snap-in adapter to fit an approved mobile phone is available from the BMW Parts Department.
The compensator (optional) is available from the BMW Parts Department. The installation of a compensator
improves the use of the mobile phone in the GSM network.

Brief description of components
The universal charger and hands-free kit consists of the following components:

Universal charger and hands-free kit (ULF) control unit
The ULF control unit includes the components for communication between the mobile phone and the
components and functions in the vehicle needed to make a phone call.
The ULF control unit also monitors and regulates the power supply to the mobile phone. In case of insufficient
