Situation:
V-adapter cable, 6-pin
Valid for:
E36/7, E39, E46, E53 with engine M54
A new 6-pin V-adapter cable is required for troubleshooting and diagnosis on the electrical
throttle valve in conjunction with test cable 61 1 473/475.
V-adapter cable, 47-pin
Valid for:
E36/7 (except M vehicles) with Mk 60 control unit
- for dynamic stability control from 9/2000
E46 (except four-wheel-drive and M vehicles) with Mk 60 control unit
- for dynamic stability control from 9/2000
- for automatic stability control from 9/2001
A new 47-pin V-adapter cable is required for troubleshooting and diagnosis on the slip
control system in conjunction with the 60-pin measuring box 61 4 390.
The plug connections to the wiring harness on these V-adapter cables are zero-coded. This
allows the new V-adapter cables also to be used for troubleshooting and diagnosis on other
connections with the same type of connector.
Procedure:
Offer tools will be supplied automatically in accordance with the tools agreement.
Please refer to enclosure 1.
Note for dealers who have already received cable cupboard 2:
The supplementary foil for cable cupboard 2 and the supplementary sheets for the
register will be supplied separately from the special tools.
A detailed description of how to attach the supplementary foils is supplied with the
delivery.
