Support brackets for precision balancing
E46
Situation:
A special support bracket for the measurement stand is necessary for supporting the front
axle (at aluminium cross member) when precision balancing E46 vehicles with the
HOFMANN precision balancer.
When ordering, a differentiation must be made between two different diameters of the
support stem.
In the case of a BEISSBARTH precision balancer, the adapter (plate/socket) for the E38
must be used on the standard support bracket.
The cross member is supported on a round or slightly oval lobe that is located close to the
wheel control joint.
Refer to Enclosure 1.
Procedure:
The support brackets are only supplied on order as stock tools.
