Removing and Installing Exhaust Camshaft for BMW 3 Series E46 316i
Warning!
Risk of injury and damage possible.
Knurled screw on special tool 11 9 301 must not be released
on account of tension of torsion springs (1) on inlet camshaft.
Remove oil line (1).
Note:
Retaining clips (1) for oil line are fitted on bearing
caps 1 and 4.
Release nuts on bearing caps in 1/2 turn increments from outside
inwards.
