Removing and installing/replacing coolant
thermostat (N40/N42/N45/N46)
Warning!
Danger of scalding!
Only perform these tasks on an engine that has cooled down.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove coolant drain plug on radiator. Drain and dispose of
coolant.
•
Vent cooling system and check for leaks.
•
Refer to general instructions for work on cooling system.
Unlock and detach water hose (1).
Unfasten screws. Remove cover with coolant thermostat towards
bottom.
