3 Series E46 316ti (N45) COMP
Replace central bolt (1).
Insert central bolt (1) and install without play.
Important!
Do not tighten down central bolt (1) yet.
Note:
Old version
While central bolt is slackened, balancing shafts can be rotated by
hand at ends.
Align balancing shafts in such a way that special tool 11 9 330
can be joined from inlet side to ends of balancing shafts.
Note:
New version
While central bolt is slackened, balancing shafts can be rotated by
hand at ends.
Align balancer shafts in such a way that special tool 11 5 140
can be joined from inlet side to ends of balancer shafts.
Important!
The engine is secured in the special tool bore with special
tool 11 9 190 / 11 5 120 .
Special tool 11 9 190 / 11 5 120 may be used for
gripping in order to tighten down central bolt (1) to a
tightening torque of 60 Nm.
Tighten down central bolt (1) to initial torque of 60 Nm.
