3 Series E46 316ti (N45) COMP
Press lug (1).
Pull guide rail (2) downwards.
Remove sprocket wheel (3) from oil pump drive shaft.
Note:
Chain tensioner (1) and guide rail (2) can be separated from
each other only after removal.
Lift guide rail (2) over drive shaft (3) and remove.
Note:
New components are fitted with transportation locks.
Remove special tool 11 3 340 or transportation lock only after
installation of chain tensioner.
Unclip, turn and unhook chain tensioner.
