Replacing rear left outer section of wheel arch
(side panel removed)
Follow instructions for body repairs.
For stripping and rigging operations, refer to texts on KSD
CD (FR number 41 14 502).
Mark side section reinforcement according to measurement (a)
and cut.
Measurement (a) = approx. 230 mm from roof edge.
Open welding spots in areas (1) and remove side section
reinforcement.
Mark inner side frame as shown in illustration and cut.
Caution!
Prior to cutting, support roof!
Measurement (a) = approx. 240 mm from roof edge.
Measurement (b) = approx. 60 mm from 8 mm dia. bore in front.
Measurement (c) = approx. 60 mm from 8 mm dia. bore behind.
Open welding spots in areas (1) and remove inner side frame
(with outer wheel arch).
Mark new inner side frame part as shown in illustration and cut.
Measurement (a) = approx. 110 mm from 8 mm dia. bore above.
Measurement (b) = approx. 45 mm from 8 mm dia. bore in front.
Measurement (c) = approx. 75 mm from 8 mm dia. bore behind.
Step areas (1) approx. 15 mm towards outside.
Clean all connecting points on new part and body and coat with
welding primer.
