Removing and installing/replacing left or right
tension strut (reinforcement on spare wheel
recess)

Important!

Vehicles must not be driven without tension struts.

Driving without tension struts may damage the vehicle body.

Tension strut screws must be tightened to torque and then
tightened down with special tool 00 9 120.

Release screws (1 and 2) and remove tension strut (3).

Installation:

Replace screws (1 and 2).

- 

Insert screws (1).

- 

Tighten down screws (1) to specified torque and then to

angle of rotation.

Tightening torque 51 71 5AZ

. 

- 

Insert screw (2).

- 

Tighten down screw (2) to specified torque.

Tightening torque 51 71 7AZ

.
