3 Series E46 318i (M43TU) TOUR
Install rear spoiler,
refer to 51 71 412.
Check height of rear spoiler to roof outer skin and adjust joint and
gap dimensions,
refer to 41 00.
Note:
If height of rear spoiler deviates from specified dimensions,
measure and note down dimension.
Correct rear lid by measured deviation, i.e. alter vertical
adjustment of rear lid.
If the vertical adjustment of the rear lid is altered, it is
absolutely essential to adjust the rear window as well.
The position of the rear lid and rear window hinge shafts to
each other changes and the rear window may be subjected to
tension when it is closed!
